Kerrigan had a bad tummy ache the other night. We have finally concluded that she gets these each time she drinks root beer (and maybe one particular brand...that's the next study). So while she was crying from the pain I told her that what Daddy and I had noticed - about it being when she drank root beer, which by the way, is her favorite pop. Her response? "My eyes and my mouth likes root beer, but my tummy doesn't!"Then last night Janae appeared in our bedroom with a bad case of nerves. As I was talking it out with her and telling her how the devil tries to get to us in anyway he can and especially when our reserves are down. If he knows we are prone to worry, he'll use that against us. But we have to pray, quote Scripture or sing choruses to get our minds on good things. And her reply? "Well it's hard for a 10 yr old to fight the devil all by herself!" (So true, my little one, so true.)

Sometimes it's hard for us adults to fight the devil too. I just love your girls they are truly a delight to be around.

Awww; the first one (Kerrigan) was "cute" and I'm sure you will figure the brand(s) out! Hopefully there will still be at least ONE brand she can drink!
Janae, on the other hand - almost broke my heart. I remember those days and I was 17. I felt like 10, though - especially the way I wanted/needed my mom and dad around me all the time. I will pray for her - I know her terror and her pain. God can and will make her overcome this stage! You and Tony are such great parents! God will give you all the wisdom you need - and ask for!
