Until yesterday, I wasn't sure what I wanted (well, yeah, actually I did find a nice leather set that is different than the norm, but it carried a nice price tag too) . After sitting on probaly close to 50 sofas and chairs, I found the one! And I have been visualizing it in my living room ever since. The only thing I have sight mis-givings about is the color and whether it's too trendy and I'll tire of it before the furniture wears out. But I don't think I'm going to worry over that. For once I'll just go with what I actually like here and now (after Tony comparison shops at one more store).
Now to wait for the rest of my ship to come in - well, at least the canoe - it wasn't THAT pricey.

Are you going for the red? It is really pretty. I was worried about the same thing when I got my living room couch a few months ago. I had had floral for 10 years and didn't want anything remotely close to that! I opted for a neutral color because we rarely even use our living room and it will last forever! But...if I'd have gotten what I really wanted it would have been a color!!! Go for it!
Sara, We got red funiture this summer and I was scared too but so far I really love it.
Sara, I LOVE the red - I have wanted red for a long, long time. Go for it and don't look back. Life is too short - as we too well know.... even if you're 78 and 80. Enjoy every moment and don't leave room for regrets.
While red probably wouldn't be my first choice, I hope you get many years of enjoyment out of it!!! Can't wait to see pics of it in its new home!!!!
I LOVE THE RED!!!
It is BEAUTIFUL!
I do like the red, Sara! I agree with Gail, go for what you want now! If the picture is of the actual set you're thinking about getting it looks just like my LR furniture only a different color. and I love my LR furniture!
I think it's a beautiful set!!
Looks really neat. Have you tried sitting on the couches with the loose pillows on the back? Your kids are older but we decided ours would throw them on the floor constantly! Isn't it fun re-decorating?!?!?
Karen, that's the really neat thing about that couch. The pillows LOOK loose but are totally attached. I almost didn't sit on it b/c it was pillows. I typically hate that style-doesn't feel finished to me. But we actually sat there for quite awhile (the whole family) just hangin' out. Under the eagle eye of a salesman! loL!! I told Tony, "too bad...we have to live with this so we need to find out if we actually like it!"
You're too funny! I really hate furniture shopping bacause of those salespeople! They are like vultures when you walk in the door!!!
That's what was REALLY weird...I don't think one person even asked if they could help. Just stared.
I'd say go for it. I always tell myself, no matter what I buy TODAY, it will be out of style (for the most part) 5-10 years down the road. Good luck with the whole furniture shopping experience. It can be overwhelming.
