...that I am the lucky recipient of the chocolate dish from my parent's home? :) Actually I would say at least 4 of us 6 kids are chocoholics so it really was a shock to me that it was put in my box to take home. But apparently it wasn't as big a deal to my sister's and most likely didn't match my brother's "Red Wings" decor.
I was also given my Grandma Fritz's buffet (which I think is really cool because I have my Grandma Wightman's table and chairs) and an old bookcase with glass doors that housed our World Book encyclopedias all my life. I have a more current set that will probably find it's place on that bottom shelf- not sure though.
But of all the treasures that I gleaned from the nooks and crannies of the house this past weekend, the best would have to be my mother's and father's Bibles. I can't wait to unpack my boxes and read along with their Bibles and the many, many margin notes for my devotions. Somebody pinch me because I still can't quite believe that they are in my possession.

So glad everything went well and you got those things to treasure! I thought about you a lot this weekend and wondered how you were doing!
So glad you got some of "mom & dad's" famous treasures! If you ever want to get rid of the chocolate bowl, I know just where i'd put it :) I have snuck many, many Hershey kisses from the bowl. I wonder if that is why I am at the fit weight of...!
It sounds like you got some really special things to remember your parents by!
Sara, I am glad you got some nice things. I have some things that I would not trade for anything! Just this past week Daniel got his Great-grandmother's baby bottle. It is weird looking so I told him to be sure to put it in his drawer to make sure it does not get broken! :)
