I offered to mow for Tony tonight. He had an old couch to disassemble and I had some housework I was trying to avoid. So there I was mowing along, when up ahead I see something in my path. It's tan and red…hmmmm, looks like a Happy Meal toy. I’m too lazy to stop and get it out of the way. It’s really tiny anyway, so here goes nothing. Kachunk, kachunk, THWUMP!
And suddenly it was like watching a Build-a-Bear video on rewind. The little rabbit went in whole, then landed in the neighbor’s yard unstuffed. Sadistic mother that I am… I laughed every time I rounded that corner and saw it lying there. I was just hoping no one else would notice and pick it up before I got a chance to get my camera.

Sadistic woman! I would have been using the mower to chase a cat. (Which is probably why Gene doesn't ask me to mow...)
It looks like the poor rabbit's head exploded! Who do you owe a trip to "Build-a-Bear" too?
LOL That is funny!
Sara, That is just too funny. I am sitting here cracking up. It's scary how we mommies get joy. It's in the small stuff.
That's hilarious! Notice how everyone that thinks it's funny is a mom? Warped sense of humor!
Oh, Sara! You have not changed a bit! That is funny though!
Hilarious! I think I'll throw some toys out in the yard next time Rodney mows...
This could be a great way to cut down on clutter! :)
I imagine your kids will have something to say the next time you start to get that mower out. This was funny though. How nice of you to mow for your hubby - avoiding housework or not. You could have been sitting inside on your duff! :)
Janiece, it was a Happy Meal toy and we don't know whose it was (nor do I care).
Angie, funny you mentioned the cat...I told my family that this was almost if not more funny than the time I hit a cat and saw it in my rearview mirror hobbling across the road on it's two front legs with the backend doing a funky twitch (poor cat!)
Tamra, Tony does ALOT for me in the house, so it's only fair I help him with the outside stuff :) He's a better husband than I am a wife.
And to all of you, I think it's especially funny that I got more comments from you gals on this post than on my shocking TIME ALONE (where the men came out of the woodwork! loL!)
Janiece, didn't finish my comment in the last post...planned to add, "they'd been warned when they were told to clean up the yard before mowing."
ok I agree that that was hilarious--sounds like something I would have done!(I get very lazy on a riding mower) But---it is not funny to hit a cat--if my Janae knew about the comments you guys would be in serious trouble!!!

(Here, kitty, kitty...)
That's funny! I can't believe you did that instead of picking it up! How funny it must have been to see it shooting out of the mower across the yard!!!
