Excuse or explanation?

You should have expected two posts in one day once I realized that I hadn’t blogged in a while!  I am in a pondering mood I guess.  I have been wondering why I haven’t blogged and it really doesn’t have anything to do with not having the time.  But rather, not being in the right PLACE at the right time.

I guess I have this thing about putting profound thoughts in my blog rather than just every day ramblings.  I don’t get inspired very often.  And when I do, if I am not at home with access to the computer, it seems I rarely find the right words to express my thoughts at a later date.

I’m not making excuses, but simply explaining myself.  Is there a difference between excusing and explaining?  Let’s consult my trusty friend, SHIFT + F7 (thesaurus and dictionary =)  Well, interestingly enough, they both had synonyms in common, but I think in terms of making excuse as being on the defensive where explaining is clarification.

And now you know my secret for making my writing sound different than how I talk!  If only my brain had SHIFT + F7 capabilities…

P.S. Can you believe that, “No results were found.” for the word “synonym”?)

No synonym for "synonym"? You know, the word isn't even in my Roget's Thesaurus! The closest I can find is synonymous: similar, equivalent, analogous.

Never fear. I write much differently than I speak too. I take up too much time trying to find the right word (keeping my thesaurus handy, of course! ;))
