The other day I was “interviewing” the girls for a scrapbook project I’m working on. The interview questions were about me from their perspective. Some questions were a little above Kerrigan’s head. So when I got to the last few, I knew she was getting tired and wondered if she would be able to come up with something that wasn’t totally off the wall. I shouldn’t have worried.
Q: How are you and your mom the same?
A: Our eyes!
Q: How are you and your mom different?
A: (pause and a faraway look, then eyes brighten as she answers) our skin!
Q: (off the record now, just mom asking) how is our skin different?
A: Mom, give me your hand (places my hand next to hers) Yours, light; mine, dark!
