We were listening to “Yellow Submarine” off of a track on Rhapsody this morning. I was complaining to Janae that I had a much cooler rendition on a record when I was a kid. The conversation continued like this:
Mom: That’s what Daddy and I had when we were kids…records.
Janae: What?Mom: Records…not tapes or CD’s.
Janae: (smirking) Did you beat it?
Mom: Nope, but we broke ‘em once in a while.
Janae harumphs, thinking that I was trying to make a joke but the funniest part was I wasn’t! So the joke was on me :)
