Okay, number one…this doesn’t help me since I repackage almost every pack of ground beef I get into smaller quantities? And number two, how is this going to help the person who has already CONSUMED the beef?
I know, I know. It’s really not ALL their fault. And the other stores probably get their beef from the same source. But I’ll just admit I’m a little bit punchy about getting hamburger at Kroger for the time being. And I still think if they know that I purchased beef during that time frame (which they do because that is one reason for the Kroger Plus card – so they can track all that data) they should refund me the money even if I had already consumed the product.
But I suppose that would make the rest of their prices rise wouldn’t it? *sigh*

That's interesting, consider I buy all my meat from Kroger and have never once gotten that warning. Kind of makes me feel sick.
Since I do all my grocery shopping at Kroger, sure enough I had bought some (probably) contaminated beef. I received a phone call (prerecorded message) warning me of the recall. Luckily, I had frozen it. With the TWO recent recalls, it does enter my mind when I shop for beef. But Kroger has the best fresh meats (in my opinion), so I don't even want to shop anywhere else.
